Thursday, March 29th, 2018 marked Cathy Sorenson’s last (full-time) day with The Loan Fund. Cathy’s retirement coincides with her 19th anniversary of joining The Loan Fund.
During Cathy’s time with The Loan Fund, she made over $21 million in loans to New Mexico small businesses and nonprofits. These loans helped create or preserve nearly 2,000 jobs across the state. Known for her passion to help women entrepreneurs, over half of Cathy’s loans were made to women-owned businesses.
Reflecting on her time with The Loan Fund, Cathy said: “It has been such a joy for me to have had the opportunity to mentor and assist so many remarkable entrepreneurs over the last 19 years. I would also like to express my gratitude to our President/CEO Leroy Pacheco, the staff, and the Board of Directors for their invaluable support over the years. I wish everyone continued success and much happiness.”
