It is with deep sadness that I write this about our friend, colleague and Board Chairman Nick Nagy, who passed away in December 2021.
Mr. Nagy came to The Loan Fund in 2012 and served on the Board of Directors as chairman and was an active member of the Loan Committee. Under his leadership, The Loan Fund experienced sharp increases in our loan capacity, lines of credit, and creative aid to small business owners during an unprecedented time in recent history. Mr. Nagy was a solid presence in the building, often attending bimonthly staff meetings and serving as vital support for our office.
For his dedication and service to help improve the economic and social conditions of all New Mexicans through loan assistance, we have named our conference room in his honor. The Nick Nagy Conference Room will remind visitors to The Loan Fund of Mr. Nagy’s dedication and support to all small business owners in New Mexico.
