After several years of working as a mechanic, Luis A. Perea Nunez decided to start his own commercial trucking repair company, 377 Towing, along with its sister company, Highway Truck and Trailer Repair. Based in Albuquerque, his businesses offer jumpstarts, fuel delivery, spare tire installation, as well as towing and repairs for semi-trucks within a 200-mile radius.
Since opening in 2019, Nunez has provided round-the-clock, 24-hour dispatch services for truck and trailer repairs. His business model includes contract workers who perform tire changes, roadside repairs, and towing services. Nunez oversees dispatch operations and coordinates work assignments to ensure efficient service delivery.
Recognizing a growing demand, Nunez soon expanded his offerings to include towing services for large trucks and trailers. Customers find him through his website, 377towing.com, organic searches, word of mouth, Yelp, and Google Business Profile.
After saving for a down payment, Nunez turned to The Loan Fund for help purchasing his second tow truck. The need became clear when he received another service call while his only tow truck was already assisting a semi that required towing—previously, he had to rely on outside companies for such jobs.
“A lot of times when we showed up to the job site on the side of the road, we couldn’t fix it on the spot. Sometimes they needed a tow,” he said.
He learned about The Loan Fund through another trucking company.
“With The Loan Fund, it’s been very easy, and they’ve been very considerate with the rates. I would absolutely recommend them to other people,” Nunez said. “So far, they’ve been really helpful as I continue to expand my business. I’ll tell anyone who needs help with their business: The Loan Fund is a good option.”
