Staff Accountant
Laura Valencia retired from in State Government December of 2019 from State Government where she began her career as an agency Secretary with Children, Youth and Families. Throughout the years held several different administrative and accounting positions, which allowed her to gain knowledge and experience. She completed her employment with as an Administrative Manager with the NM State Racing Commission. In January of 2022, she decided to return to work and was ultimately hired as the Staff Accountant for the Loan Fund. Laura has over 20 years of experience in accounting, human resources, procurement and budget experience.
Laura’s pride and joy is her son, Damian, who is a high school football coach and Program Coordinator. Laura is a lifelong resident of New Mexico and was born and raised in Albuquerque!
